Nuvoton Technology Actively Adapts to Climate Change, Achieves SBTi Validation

 
In alignment with the global net-zero movement, Nuvoton Technology Corporation has officially obtained validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reaffirming its commitment to becoming a global member in climate action. The company aims to achieve this milestone by World Earth Day in the first quarter of 2025. 

Following SBTi, Nuvoton Technology Commits：

1. Using 2022 as the baseline year, Nuvoton Technology commits to an absolute reduction of 48.8% in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 2030. This target encompasses emissions generated from direct operations and energy consumption.
2. Using 2023 as the baseline year, the company pledges to achieve an absolute reduction of 25% in Scope 3 GHG emissions by 2030, with a focus on emissions arising from supply chain procurement and the use phase of its products.

Nuvoton will continue to increase the proportion of renewable energy used, strengthen the development of green products and circular economy practices, and optimize supply chain management. Through comprehensive ESG governance, we aim to contribute to climate stability, human well-being, and biodiversity as part of our group-wide commitment.
