Nuvoton selected as one of the Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness Companies by Business Weekly 2024 | News

In 2024, Nuvoton Technology Corporation (4919) was selected for the second consecutive year as one of Business Weekly's 'Top 100 Companies in Carbon Competitiveness.' We achieved third place in carbon reduction performance within the semiconductor industry among thousands of listed companies in Taiwan. 

Business Weekly is renowned for its in-depth industry investigations and holds significant credibility among Chinese-language business media. The Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness Companies list is reviewed by the Business Weekly Group and the Industry Climate Risk Research Team at National Taiwan University, combining quantitative and qualitative assessments to examine the carbon management capabilities and reduction effectiveness of listed companies across various industries, identifying benchmark companies that excel in sustainable transformation.  

On November 27th, Mr. Lin Kuang-Lun, Vice President and Chairman of the Sustainable Development Committee, represented the company at the award ceremony to receive recognition from Ms. Cheng Li-Chiun, Vice Premier of the Executive Yuan, honoring the efforts and achievements of all Nuvoton employees.

This honor not only affirms Nuvoton Technology ’s efforts in the field of environmental sustainability but also strengthens our confidence on the path to sustainable development.  

In recent years, we have implemented an energy management system, through which we have invested in energy conservation and process equipment upgrades, while mapping out pathways for carbon emission reduction. Significant results have been achieved in these two years. Meanwhile, Nuvoton has actively promoted carbon emission management in the green supply chain, and through the development of green products, provides superior solutions for environmental sustainability. We will continue to participate in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in the future.  

In addition to continuously improving carbon reduction initiatives to enhance corporate competitiveness, Nuvoton Technology began developing biodiversity issues in 2024.
