Reclaimed water is reused as secondary water within facilities, including for cooling towers, significantly reducing municipal water consumption. Wastewater discharge data is continuously monitored, and both internal and external water quality inspections and audits are conducted regularly to ensure regulatory compliance.
Prepare monthly water balance analyses to evaluate water consumption by operational units, identify high-consumption areas, and assess water-saving opportunities. Maintain diversified water sources, including groundwater and municipal water supplies, operate multiple groundwater wells to ensure supply redundancy, and maintain water storage tanks as emergency backup sources.

In 2025, Nuvoton Taiwan achieved total water savings of 7.3 million liters, representing 2.6% of its total water withdrawal in 2024. Water-saving initiatives included 0.7 million liters saved through polishing wastewater recycling, 5.5 million liters saved through cooling tower water replenishment optimization, and 1.1 million liters saved through the installation of rainwater harvesting systems. Meanwhile, Nuvoton Japan's total water withdrawal decreased by 443 million liters compared with 2024.
None of Nuvoton's manufacturing sites are located in areas of high water stress. The potential impact of operations on local water resources remains low-risk and continues to decline.
